The Gate City Bar Association asks President Obama to Diversify the Georgia Federal Bench

The Gate City Bar Association has joined in the call by Advocacy for Action and the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA) by sending a letter to President Obama asking that he appoint at least two African American attorneys to the Northern District Court.  Gate City cites to African Americans comprising 31% of the Georgia population, yet only 19% of the federal bench active judges are African American. To read the full letter, use the attached link.
